Steel, Aluminum and Wooden Curtain Track

Choose from a variety of curtain track styles, construction materials - metal, wood or plastic - and finishes such as satin silver, bronze, gunmetal and black.

Consider a track made from painted, rolled steel with telescopic adjustments and a ball bearing pulley mechanism for smooth operation. A corded metal track with wheeled runners or nylon roller glides and a separate valance rod is a popular option. Also available are motorized tracks as well as cordless designs for less formal curtains.

Wall or overhead ceiling mount curtain tracks can be attached with face or top fix brackets at regular intervals to support the weight of the curtain material. Easy-lock rod bracket designs make installation simple.

Another alternative is made with a vertical flange and predrilled holes for direct fitting into wooden frames. A flexible design that can be bent is necessary for bay window curtains. Shapes range from right angles to a gradual curve, and they can be special ordered with two, four or multiple bends.

Solid brass is both strong and flexible. Powder coated lightweight aluminum can be bowed by hand for corner windows. Cheap plastic versions will not operate smoothly or quietly and should be avoided.

Choose a track with a slim profile for curtains that do not include decorative hardware. Preset lengths can be cut down for custom measurements. A double or dual curtain track set is ideal for use with layered treatments such as drapes and sheers.
